n the 2008 case District of Columbia v. Heller, the Supreme Court held that the "Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home."
The main reason the Second Amendment was placed in our Constitution was to prevent a tyrannical government.

The mainstream media emphasizes the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime but they willseldom tell you about a good guy with a gun being able to stop the commission of a crime by a crimnal or the prevention of additional casualties in an incident because that criminal was taken
down by a law enforcement person or law abiding citizen.
Brave and courageous men and women of law enforcement do their best to prevent and stop criminal activites but they cannot be everywhere at all times of the day or night.

The bill is called Crisis Aversion Rights Retention Act (CARR). The bill would allow the government to seize the firearms of any citizen. The bill would not require you to have committed a crime, been accused of committing a crime, or even be suspected of committing a crime. If the government feels you shouldn't have a gun, you would now be brought in front of a judge to argue for your 2nd Amendment Right.
