The consequences of discarding a sacred moral code to govern the actions of individuals are far graver than most people realize.

 Why do nations fall? The greatest empires of the past, down to the last one, have each collapsed.

Why? Is every civilization destined to decline and fall?

 Or is such a catastrophic disaster the effect of a specific cause?

Historians attribute the collapse of various civilizations to disease, climate change, demographics, political corruption, mass immigration, economic stagnation, inferior technology and/or foreign invasion.

But are weapons, applied sciences and jobs the way to make a civilization invincible? Many people today apparently think so. Could America fall? Could Britain fall? Or are our societies too modern, too sophisticated, too enlightened for such a cataclysm? The longest-standing and most consistent forecast the Trumpet has made since Volume 1, Issue 2, in June 1990, has been that America and Britain will fall, and that the fundamental cause will not be birth rates, weather phenomena, superbug epidemics, gross domestic product or carrier strike groups. Fundamentally, it will be because of failed morals.

300,000 children in the United States are prostituted each year; are victims of child sex trafficking. The number is disturbing, to say the least.   2 million children are victims of child sex trafficking each year across the globe. The number is staggering, and hard to believe. On August 10, 2019, American financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was found unresponsive in his Metropolitan Correctional Center jail cell, where he was awaiting trial on new sex trafficking charges. According to the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons official statement, "He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries and subsequently pronounced dead by hospital staff."^[1] The New York City medical examiner ruled Epstein's death a suicide.^[2] Epstein's lawyers challenged that conclusion and opened their own investigation.^[3] Epstein's brother Mark hired Michael Baden to oversee the autopsy. In late October, Baden announced that autopsy evidence was more indicative of homicidal strangulation than suicidal hanging.^[4] Attorney General William Barr has described Epstein's death as "a perfect storm of screw-ups."^[5] Both the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice's inspector general are conducting investigations into the circumstances of his death. The guards on duty were later charged with conspiracy and record falsification.^[6][7]

Due to violations of normal jail procedures on the night of his death (e.g. the removal of his cellmate without a replacement, the falling asleep of two guards who were meant to check on him, and the malfunction of two cameras in front of his cell)^[8][9] and Epstein's claimed knowledge of compromising information about famous people, his death generated doubt about his apparent suicide and speculation that he was murdered.^[10][11]
