The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." Margaret Sanger” ― Margaret Sanger, Woman and the New Race

Children, and adults for that matter, are confused about the pro-life position. We must simplify it. People need to know that we are pro-life because we believe it is wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human being.  Children also need to know the reasons that support this belief. They need to know that along with scripture we are pro-life because science and philosophy direct us to be. Science informs us that from the earliest stages of development the unborn are distinct, living, and whole human beings. And philosophically, we understand that there is nothing morally significant in the difference between an embryo and adult that would justify killing the unborn.

An unborn baby's heart begins to beat 18-21 days after fertilization.

Brain waves can be detected as early as 40 days after fertilization.

Since 1973, there have been more than 55 million abortions in the United States.

Women have cited "social reasons," not mother's health or rape/incest, as their motivation in approximately 93% of all abortions.

On January 22, 2019 – the 46th anniversary of Roe – New York state did the unthinkable: It legalized abortion well past viability, up until the very moment before the child’s birth. A mother need only convince a nurse to deem a late-term abortion “necessary” to protect her health – likely including (under existing judicial interpretation) her emotional well-being – and the abortion may proceed

In addition, New York now allows non-physicians to perform abortions, eliminates all criminal penalties for illegal abortions, and removes legal protections for babies born alive (such as immediate legal status, a dedicated physician to care for the child, and records of life-sustaining efforts). On the upside, New York (apparently) still prohibits outright murder of newborn babies, but abortionists may now leave babies to die unattended without consequences.

Norma Leah Nelson McCorvey (September 22, 1947 – February 18, 2017), better known by the legal pseudonym "Jane Roe", was the plaintiff in the landmark American lawsuit Roe v. Wade in 1973.[2] The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that individual state laws banning abortion are unconstitutional. Later, McCorvey's views on abortion changed substantially; she became a Roman Catholic activist in the pro-life movement.(Wikipedia)

"Any country that accepts abortion, is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what it wants."

Euthanasia is illegal in most of the United States. Assisted suicide/assisted death is legal in Washington DC  and the states of California, Colorado, Oregon, Vermont, Hawaii, and Washington; its status is disputed in Montana. The key difference between euthanasia and assisted suicide is that in cases of assisted suicide, the individual receives assistance, but ultimately voluntarily causes their own death. In euthanasia the individual does not directly end their life, but another person acts to cause the individual's death. (Wikipedia)

Euthanasia has become a common way to die in the Netherlands, accounting for 4.5 percent of deaths, according to researchers who say requests are increasing from people who aren't terminally ill. In 2002, the Netherlands became the first country in the world that made it legal for doctors to help people die. Both euthanasia, where doctors actively kill patients, and assisted suicide, where physicians prescribe patients a lethal dose of drugs, are allowed. People must be "suffering unbearably" with no hope of relief -- but their condition does not have to be fatal.

ABORTION

In 1973, the Supreme Court handed down its Roe v. Wade and Doe v.Bolton decisions legalizing abortion in all 50 states during all nine months of pregnancy, for any reason, medical, social, or otherwise.

The vast majority of all abortions performed today are done for social, not medical reasons — because a woman doesn’t feel ready for a baby at the time, because her partner wants her to have an abortion, etc.

Approximately 93% of all induced abortions are done for elective, non-medical reasons such as these.

Abortion ends a pregnancy by destroying and removing the developing child. That baby’s heart has already begun to beat by the time the mother misses her period and begins to wonder if she might be pregnant (about 31 days after the mother’s last menstrual period or LMP).

Surgical abortions are usually not performed before seven weeks, or 49 days LMP. By that time, the baby has identifiable arms and legs (day 45) and displays measurable brain waves (about 40 days). During the seventh through the tenth weeks, when the majority of abortions are performed, fingers and genitals appear and the child’s face is recognizably human.  (North Carolina Right to Life)

Bible Scriptures about Life

Isaiah 44:24  Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;

Psa 139:13-16  For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.  My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Jer 1:5  Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Luk 1:44  For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

Psa 127:3  Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

What does the Bible say about child sacrifice? Is an aborted child a sacrifice to the god of this world (Satan)?

Deu 12:31  Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

Eze 16:20  Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,  Eze 16:21  That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?

Psa 106:37  Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
Psa 106:38  And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

2Ki 17:17  And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
2Ki 17:18  Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.

Jer 22:17  But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness(Money), and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.

Exo 23:7  Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

The Supreme Court's decision to legalize abortion brought about a reproach to the United States of America.  Proverbs 14:34  Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Judgement will come from God to the United States unless the majority of people in the U.S. repent. Ninevah repented and God spared them for about one hundred years.

Recently, the states of New York and Virginia passed legislation that will legalize abortions from conception to actual birth. Shame on those legislators who passed those bills and the governors who allowed those abortion bills to become law.

Euthanasia - Doctor Assisted Suicide

Euthanasia  is the intentional killing by act or omission of a dependent human being for his or her alleged benefit.

There are different types of Euthanasia: Voluntary euthanasia: When the person who is killed has requested to be killed.

Non-voluntary: When the person who is killed made no request and gave no consent.

Involuntary euthanasia: When the person who is killed made an expressed wish to the contrary.

Assisted suicide: When someone provides an individual with the information, guidance, and means to take his or her own life with the intention that they will be used for this purpose.

When it is a doctor who helps another person to it is called "physician assisted suicide."

Euthanasia by Action: Intentionally causing a person's death by performing an action such as by giving a lethal injection. Euthanasia by Omission: Intentionally causing death by not providing necessary and ordinary (usual and customary) care or food and water.             (Catholic News Agency)
